The Good Food Box is a community-driven initiative powered by the heart of volunteers and the strength of local support. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to make fresh, healthy produce accessible and affordable for everyone.
Through the dedication of our volunteers and partnerships with local growers and supporters, we work to reduce food insecurity and build a more connected, caring community—one box at a time.
Our Story
The Good Food Box began as a program to promote nutrition in expectant mothers and diabetics.
Over the last two decades, the program has almost doubled in boxes delivered each month and is available to anyone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Anyone can order a box! It is a common misconception that our boxes are for low-income families, although this is not true. We aim to keep our prices as low as possible so we can make fresh produce accessible to everyone in our local communities!
You can order a box by emailing us at gfbox.tisdale@sasktel.net, text/call us at 306-873-2299, or message us on Facebook. Let us know which size of box you want: Small, Large, Large Plus, or All Fruit.
Describe a feature you’d like to share about this company or highlight a particular service it offers.
You can pick up your box between 12:00pm - 2:00pm on the first Thursday of every month (unless otherwise specified). Pickup location is on the east side of the Canalta Hotel in Tisdale, SK.
We work with local suppliers to source the best produce. As some produce is seasonal and varies depending on what our suppliers have available, the produce in your box may vary from month to month and season to season.

The Tisdale and Area Community Action Cooperative Ltd. (TACACL) is a registered charity and registered cooperative based in Tisdale, SK. The regional Good Food Box program is one of the programs operated by this organization. Other programs operated by the TACACL are two adult Collective Kitchens, Kids Kitchens, and the mobile Early Learning Program.
